Why I started doing the work myself
I started out selling insulation jobs for another company, and after a couple of years I wanted to be the one up in the attic making sure the work matched what I'd promised. So I learned the trade working right beside the installers, then opened our own insulation business in Hampton in 2017.
Most folks call us because they want to understand their attic, walls or crawl space before they spend money on it, and plenty of them already got a hard sell somewhere else. I'd rather lay out the options and let you decide. We work on homes mostly, plus some commercial buildings, and the full list of what we do is on our home page. A lot of Hampton houses have taken on water in storms, so I want to know what's under and around the old insulation before we cover anything up.

I come out to look at your house myself and explain each option in plain words, including the ones that aren't worth doing yet. If what's already up there is holding up, I'll say so, because you shouldn't be sold more than you need.
Problems get fixed before insulation goes in
A roof leak, old wiring or old insulation that's soaked or full of droppings gets sorted out first, because new material laid over trouble just hides it. Then we do the air sealing, closing the gaps around lights, pipes and the attic hatch, so the new insulation isn't fighting a draft.

Virginia contractor license
The state contractor board licenses any business that improves a house it doesn't own, and the license sets how large a job it can take and what kind of work it covers. Licensed and fully insured.
City permits and inspections
In Hampton, a permit has to be pulled by the owner or by a contractor licensed with both the state and the city. When a city requires one for your job, we apply as the contractor and set up the inspections, and since each city runs its own office, I check with the right one for your address before we start.
